My Sister's House is “A
local non-profit home to help
older teenage girls transition
into healthy, productive
independence.”
My Sister’s House serves young women who are homeless, at high risk of becoming homeless or who have “aged out” of the foster care system [18-21 yrs.] in Grand Traverse & Wexford county and the surrounding regions of Northern Michigan.
My Sister’s House provides a stable, family-like home for girls to learn and grow from and alongside one another. In addition to providing safe living conditions and daily necessities, My Sister’s House empowers young women through reality-based learning, designed to promote emotional, mental and social well-being.
Sister Mentors and the staff of My Sister’s House work alongside these young women and provide tools to set and achieve educational, employment and life skills goals.
